What we do
SalaryHub helps people answer one practical question: how much does a job actually pay — and where does it pay best? We publish free salary overviews for dozens of professions, state-by-state pay comparisons, a salary calculator, and career guides covering training paths, licensing requirements, and job outlooks.
Where our data comes from
Our salary figures are built on publicly available data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), primarily the Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics (OEWS) program, the most comprehensive employer-reported wage survey in the United States. State-level figures combine BLS state data with regional wage adjustments. Career guides reference official licensing and certification requirements from state boards and professional associations.
Editorial approach
Every page is written to be useful first: clear numbers, honest context about cost of living and job availability, and plain-language explanations of how to enter each field. We do not accept payment to inflate salary figures or rankings, and we update our data as new BLS releases become available.
How we make money
SalaryHub is free to use. We earn revenue through display advertising, which allows us to keep all salary data and guides available without paywalls or subscriptions. Advertising never influences our data or editorial conclusions.
